Baby Shower

I have a baby shower to attend today at 1:00p.m. It is for the daughter of my classmate at CCNN Eva! She cracks me up. Eva's daughter is going to be having a baby girl so I had fun knitting the shower gift. I call it the "I Heart Baby Blanket." I also knitted a matching cap to go with it that took me all of about a half hour. Can't wait to take pics at the shower today! Hopefully the weather will be nice since it is an outdoors event at San Raphael Park in Reno.

Easter!

Finally! Pictures of our Easter! We got up early Easter morning to enjoy our baskets. We also made a trip to Josh's Mom's house where we helped Coral and Conner find their eggs. Then it was off to work for me and my hubby. It was not fun working on Easter, We both missed out on dinner, but what can you do?

So I get to spend the day today with my husband. This will be nice because we honestly don't get to spend a lot of time together. From me going to school and work to him working all the time we don't get to have any quality time. I only had to worry about school today and he has today and tomorrow off. This will be a nice treat for the both of us.

I'm so tired, school is just exhausting. The Dean won't let me test out of the class because we are close to halfway through the phase so i will just have to deal with it for now. What's funny is I am already done with the entire book and almost all of my project. So I guess I will be able to use that class as a study hall after all. One more day of school this week and then it's off to work. Hopefully I will get Easter off. Well that's about it for today I am really tired and I thinkI will take a nap before I do laundry and study some more.

A Rewarding Day

It's the end of another long day and I can't wait to get to bed, but before I do I just wanted to write a little bit about how rewarding today has been. I have made some headway on a decision to test out of one of my classes and my leadership proffersor is encouraging me to take that step. That means if I test out, I will have an extra hour to study and do project work. That would be awesome.

Another thing is my job is going great. My manager is praising me for the great job I am doing and has offered me extra hours in case he needs to downsize the number of employees we have in the store. I feel very proud of myself right now and I just hope it lasts for a while.

I miss my family in Texas, but I am happy that I am taking steps to help my husband and I secure a future together there. In a few years I have hope that we will be able to make our home in Texas.

Well I just have to make it through the school week. My boss has given me the next three days off for school and then I will work over the weekend. Yay!

Spring Cleaning!

I have no idea when I am working next. My boss wanted to change the schedules last night and never came back to work with the new updated schedule so I guess I will have to call in today and see if I am working or not. As far as I knew he wasn't having me work today and if that is still the case I plan to do some spring cleaning. The apartment is pretty much a mess, neither Josh or I has had a lot of time to clean so hopefully I will get to do that today while he is at work. I figure after I do that I will treat myself to a movie I have been waiting to watch for a while. I have been wanting to watch the new version of Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightly in it, I got it from netflix a couple of days a go and haven't had the time to watch it So hopefully I will have the day off and be able to clean up and enjoy a nice chick flick. We will see....

Back to Work!

Today is my first day back to work after a nice three day weekend. I work as a cute video game sales lady at Game Crazy. It's a pretty ok job that will help me and my husband support ourselves until I finish my degree and become a paralegal. I go to school Monday-Thursday every week and so far all I have learned is that career colleges have much less quality than I expected. Oh welll, I need the education so I won't have to sell video games to slobbering teenagers for the rest of my life. I am the only female working at this store and it completely blows these guys's minds. A girl, working in a gameing store? No way! I have to say it does help my sales numbers, I can pretty much talk these guys into buying anything, which is helpful.

Anyways, I plan to enjoy the rest of the day that I have until I start work by spending time with my husband and watching the free movie rentals I get for working for the other half of Hollywood Video. I get to rent movies the week before they actually come out for the general public to watch. Nice huh? We rented Enchanted this week which was a really cute movie when I saw it in theaters.

By the way, this blog is mostly gong to be here to help keep communication between me and my mom. Hi mom!! :-) Well I am going to go enjoy the rest of my day.
